Our Swan Family Story
Jeff and Candace Swan live in Lima, NY with their three kids: Evan, Lily and Lucy. Jeff always dreamed of owning a company with his family name on it. In 2013, this dream became a reality with the formation of LG Evans Construction, Inc. The business began with the purchase of a small excavating company, Reiber Brothers, owned by Dave Reiber in Walworth, NY. In the beginning, the fledgling company operated out of the barn at the Swan homestead in Lima, NY, and had just two employees. The company quickly grew and acquired additional office space along with a shop in Avon, NY—where the company headquarters are still located today. LG Evans is a respected and well-known construction company providing site and concrete services across western NY, and has grown to a workforce of 50-plus employees.
Shortly after the formation of LG Evans, Swan Equipment and Trucking, LLC was established to specialize in dump truck and equipment repair services. As with LG Evans, Swan Equipment and Trucking has experienced rapid growth and currently has a fleet of 14 trucks and 18-plus employees. The company operates out of a 4,500 square-foot facility at the Avon headquarters.
In 2019, an opportunity arose to purchase Tripi Transportation, Inc., a well-established trucking company located in Lancaster, NY. In September of 2019, Swan Trucking West, Inc. was formed and took over operations of Tripi Transportation. Swan Trucking West maintains a current fleet of 20 trucks out of their Lancaster location.
LG Evans Construction Inc.
We have the capacity to shape any site into your desired development. Our team stays competitive by utilizing state of the art earthwork software for accurate takeoff and cost saving engineering. Other services include underground utilities, retention/detention systems, exterior pavement, and more.
SWAN Equipment and Trucking, LLC
At Swan Equipment and Trucking, we haul all types of aggregates and materials at a competitive price. We also offer repair and maintenance services on heavy equipment and vehicles. Our shop is fully equipped with the latest technology and experienced mechanics.
SWAN Trucking West Inc.
We specialize in heavy rock, concreted asphalt and rubblized debris. Other services include, but are not limited to: Gravel, topsoil, spoils, dirt, and waste materials.
SWAN Earth Products
Based in Manchester, NY, Swan Earth Products is a top provider of high-quality construction and landscaping supplies. We offer a range of materials, including gravel, sand, and topsoil, to support all your outdoor projects.
Stoney Hill Farm
The Swans operate a small hobby farm where they grow and sell produce, eggs and baked goods. The farm is also home to horses, chickens, cats and dogs. Stoney Hill Farm also shows a top-class Belgian horse hitch with the support and partnership of family and friends.
Meet the Swan Family
Jeff Swan
Owner and founder Jeff Swan has been in the industry for over 26 years with a primary focus on site and concrete construction. His experience includes everything from laboring and operating equipment in the field, to holding the position of chief estimator and project manager for a multi-million-dollar construction company.
Candace Swan
Wife and partner Candace Swan keeps life organized. With a degree in HR management and over 20 years of experience in the field, she provides much needed behind-the-scenes support.
Our Children
Evan is juggling college and a full-time role as Office Administrator at LG Evans. Lily and Lucy aren’t employed yet, but they’re on their way!
